Airport Efforts Continue To Climb
Local businesses, organizations and residents have said that reliable and convenient air transportation is a high priority. As a result, RREDC has a long-standing partnership wiht the County Aviation Division on to pursue and execute a variety of air service development and infrastructure projects.
RREDC was a key player in supporting Horizon's service to LAX and recruiting Delta Airlines to provide service to Salt Lake City.
Unfortunately, and despite considerable support from the community, Delta Airlines announced in February 2010 that they will no longer offer service to Salt Lake City from Humboldt County. More on that announcement can be found by clicking here.
We have provided support in developing funding for the expansion and modernization of both the terminal and runway.
