Local businesses, organizations and residents have said that reliable and convenient air transportation is a high priority. As a result, RREDC has a long-standing partnership with the County Aviation Division on to pursue and execute a variety of air service development and infrastructure projects.
On December 14th, 2010, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors voted to restructure the Airport Advisory Commitee an gave it a new mission and roles. The Supervisors voted to restructure the board terms to coincide with the terms of the appointing Supervisor. More information on the revised structure and mission can be found by clicking here.
RREDC has become more direclty involved in this committee through the recent appointment of its executive director as chair.

In 2000 when I began planning to purchase a lot and build a custom tofu-manufacturing plant in Arcata's Aldergrove Industrial Park, RREDC provided invaluable professional advice and moral support during the business plan phase, and ultimately, supplemental financing to make the plan a reality.
